Diversity and Inclusion
Diversity and inclusion is one of the biggest things that we as human beings need to talk about more often, we need to make people understand that regardless of a colour gender or sexuality, we are all ONE HUMAN RACE. I remember my grandmother telling me that regardless of who we are and where we come from, if we cut we all bleed the same colour. i’m sure you have heard that phrase before and Regardless of my young age, I understood exact value of a point that she was trying to portray to me. The question that I often ask is why are people so afraid of people who have a different heritage or culture. Would you not see that As a positive impact on your company who you are as a person to learn more about a different culture, And how that can enforce power within your company.
The fundamental question we all need to ask ourselves is, why are we so threatened by other cultures and races. Why is society afraid of other cultures and races. If a leader can speak freely about how they feel, should that not impact you to speak freely about how you feel in a positive way that other people can embrace you and what you have to share with the world. Sometimes I feel that the people who are in the powerful positions don’t want people of colour or people who are different cultures to take their place because they know and are afraid that people with culture would start to bring in their Society of people into the workplace. So that they can embrace the fact that having people like them will change The workplace flow and the culture of how we see ourselves and how we work. Change is a beautiful thing, if you learn how to embrace it, it can only be fearful if you choose not to like change.
Always remember the things that have inspired you in your life. I’m sure you’ll find that some of them never even came from your culture. So keep embracing where you come from but also embrace other cultures because they can enhance who you are.
