No Place In This World…
Now, this is going to be real, and it is going to be raw, but in the most honest, human, and healing way.
There are so many people in this world, including people I have spoken to for years, who reach a point in their lives where they truly feel as though they have no place here. It is a quiet kind of pain, but one that can become deafening inside the heart. Sometimes it comes from feeling as though they have not achieved enough. Sometimes it is because they feel stagnant, stuck, and unable to move forward. Sometimes it is because they have not yet found their purpose, and sometimes it is because depression, grief, trauma, or emptiness has clouded their vision so deeply that they can no longer see their own worth.
Sometimes the pain comes from family, from wounds carried through generations, from trauma passed down by those who were never healed themselves. Sometimes it comes from friendships, from love that was not returned, from giving your heart in ways that were never matched, never protected, and never truly seen. Sometimes it comes from simply being different in a world that does not always know how to embrace difference with kindness. All of these things can build up inside a person until their chest feels heavy, their heart feels tired, and their soul begins to wonder if there is any place left for them at all.
And when that pain goes unheard for too long, it can lead people down dark roads, roads of self-harm, addiction, alcohol, drugs, or even thoughts of ending their own life. I am not afraid to say those things, because they are real, and too many people suffer in silence. I have seen it in the lives of people close to me. I have seen how deeply it affects not only the person carrying the pain, but also those who love them and try to hold them together while breaking inside themselves.
But even in saying all of that, I still believe this with everything in me: you do have a place in this world.
Your life is not an accident. Your existence is not meaningless. You were not born for no reason. There is something within you that this world needs, your softness, your strength, your voice, your heart, your presence, your story. Even in the moments when you feel invisible, you are impacting people in ways you may never fully understand. You make people feel seen. You make people feel loved. You make people feel less alone. Your kindness, your energy, your spirit, they leave traces in this world.
So if you ever feel like you have no place here, please remember this: you do. You absolutely do. If you are reading these words, then maybe you were meant to. Maybe this is your reminder to hold on just a little longer. The world still has beautiful things waiting for you. Your place is real. Your purpose is real. And even if it has not fully revealed itself yet, it is coming.
Please be patient with your heart. Stay. Your life matters, and this world is better with you in it.
