Knowledge Has Power…

Knowledge is one of the most beautiful gifts a person can hold, not because it makes them higher than anyone else, but because it gives them the ability to reach back and lift another hand. Yet, with time, I have seen people gain wisdom and then stand in front of it like locked doors, protecting what was once freely placed within their reach.

That is the part I keep returning to: someone gave you a chance. Maybe it came through family, money, opportunity, mentorship, hardship, or the kind of lesson that arrived dressed as rejection. Even the people who refused to help taught you something. Still, if you remember the days when you were beginning, when you were hungry for direction and searching for a way forward, how can you become the very barrier you once prayed would move?

I believe the next generation should go further than us. If they do not, what was the purpose of our struggle? History only survives because someone cared enough to pass it on. Growth only continues because someone chose to share what they learned instead of burying it where no one else could reach.

Some people protect knowledge because they fear being replaced. But the truth is, a candle loses nothing by lighting another candle; it only proves it was burning for a reason. If your wisdom dies with you, it was never power. It was possession.

Money can open certain doors, yes, but it cannot buy understanding. It cannot purchase character, emotional intelligence, discipline, discernment, or the grace to know when your ego is standing in the way of another person’s becoming. Society has taught people to worship wealth as power, but wisdom is the freedom money keeps pretending to be.

Communication, next to love, may be one of the strongest forces we have. It can heal what pride damages, build what fear destroys, and create bridges where people expected division. So if you carry knowledge in abundance, do not turn it into a private kingdom. Share it. Teach it. Plant it in others and watch how far it travels.

The world does not become better because one person knows everything. It becomes better when many people are given enough truth to rise.
