Rev David William Parry - Award Winning Author, TEDx Speaker, LGBTQIA+ Founder & Pastor - S1 #036

In this episode of the Us People Podcast. I have the pleasure of speaking to Rev David William Parry is an award-winning author of three books, TEDx speaker, LGBTQIA+ founder and pastor of Valentine's Hall.

David and I talk about his culture of where he was brought up, how important travelling is and how it can open your mind. What being a gay Pastor is like and how he is received in his community and family, not wanting to live a double life and just being true to himself. What becoming a pastor was like, knowing his calling in life, how religion has become such a big part of his life and him believing that treating people how you would like to be treated is so important. How he thinks both sides of history should be taught to people and schools not just one side of history because we all have a story to tell about our cultures - a real one, a true one and an honest one. {history helps make/ground who we are today}
