Lee Jones - Growth Director #315

Lee Jones on Mindset, Accountability, and Building Elevate Performance Through Adversity

Host Savia Rocks welcomes Lee Jones, growth director and co-founder of Elevate Performance, a behavioral change consultancy that helps organizations improve leadership, conversations, culture, inclusion, and psychological safety. Lee shares growing up in social housing with hardworking parents, a troubled teenage period, and a life-changing spinal tumor operation at 21 that left him temporarily paralyzed, followed by intensive rehab that enabled him to walk and return to football as a team captain.

He discusses how accountability and mindset shaped his career progression, including taking initiative in early corporate roles, and later leaving corporate life after bullying. Lee describes starting Elevate with seven partners during COVID, pivoting toward leadership and inclusion work, and building purpose-led partnerships and clients.

He also speaks candidly about depression, anxiety, mindfulness, men’s emotional openness, “control the controllables,” defining success through family moments, and where to find him via elevate.co.uk and LinkedIn.
