We’ve Been Here Before…
Have you ever experienced déjà vu, feeling as though memories from the past have briefly resurfaced? Some say it’s your future self visiting you, reminding you of what’s to come or what is already unfolding. Have you ever met someone and felt an instant connection, built on trust? That instant connection can hint at a bond formed across past lives, suggesting we’ve met many different versions of each other in different times and places. In our present life, we may have known someone in a previous incarnation, a different identity, playing distinct roles across multiple lifetimes.
The idea is that we all carry echoes of past existences. We might be strangers in this life, yet the same souls flutter through time, taking on new forms, sometimes as a friend, a mentor, or a rival. The beauty of having many lives is the chance to inhabit diverse experiences, to be reincarnated into varied roles, and to feel an eternal, evolving love that transcends single lifetimes. Connections with people can appear in reverse also: a mother in this life may have been a sister in a former one, yet the underlying bond remains. Love, kindness, pain, and even conflict all weave through these connections in ever-changing expressions.
Some say we meet the right people at the right moments because our souls “know” where to be, guided by a timeless rhythm. They suggest we carry more than 60,000 to 90,000 thoughts daily, many resurfacing to the front of our minds. Only a fraction of these thoughts manifests into tangible moments, yet when we feel overwhelmed, it’s often because these inner currents are rising to the surface.
The most wonderful gift of life is gratitude for existence and a deeper understanding of death. Once the first part, gratitude and life is embraced, the second part loss and afterlife assumes a more eternal, comforting meaning. In this view, life’s endings become doors to further journeys, lessons, and continued love across the ages.
